In this guide, we’ll cover the ten best weapons in Dead Cells 2022. Some of these weapons are more useful than others, and some will only be useful in the hands of skilled players. The placement of each one is changed with every run you make, so it’s almost impossible to get the same loadout twice. This guy is just something else.Dead Cells has a gigantic collection of weapons and gear for players to choose from. I can consistently beat him on 3+ cells by now, but when he got released, for about the next 10 hours I would just slowly make my way over to him and get absolutely annihilated, even with builds that steamrolled everything else. Hand of the King is another issue, he's a pain in the ass unless you learn all of his patterns AND the patterns in which these patterns appear. This game is brutally hard and you can't just faceroll it once you get some ugprades.Īgreed, I really wish I hadn't unlocked about 30% of the weapons because I either don't like them (Valmont's Whip) or they're just straight up bad (RIP Memebusa Boots) Looking at how I got beaten down by the Hand of the King on Hard (1 cell), despite having what (the last time I played several months ago) a loadout that would've facerolled everything within reason, I suspect that unless you become very skilled, progression is going to be tough and there is always a harder difficulty to challenge you further. Once you unlock them they stay in your drop pool and serve to really dilute the good items My only major frustration with the game is that a large chunk of the weapons are really clunky (or are just plain terrible, looking at you Valmont Whip!) and just not that effective if you want to play aggressively or fast paced. The Blacksmith in particular has been added then changed several times. Originally posted by Evilsod:It's hard to gauge progression without starting a new save file because they've added and changed quite a bit. This sounds perfect for me, thank you for the details! In conclusion, 0-cell is by far the easiest, and 4-cell will be extremely hard, regardless of your progression. But each time you beat the final boss, you gain 1 cell that you can use to increase overall difficulty, up to 4-cell.īut the game doesn't just increase monsters damage/health tremendously, but also add more of them (especially elites) and more advanced ones (monsters from later levels can be found earlier). With upgrades and knowledge, you will trivialise the "easy" mode, 0-cell difficulty, that is. The most difficult part of the game was the beginning, where you had no knowledge and no upgrades. In Rogue Legacy, unlockable made you a lot more powerful while the game mechanics didn't change and the monsters just got higher health/damage. Most people don't beat 4-cell difficulty, with or without everything being unlocked. Originally posted by game becomes harder as you progress, not easier. Then, if you keep at it, that level's prety easy, and you'll wonder why you were so mad about it. Instead, you might get mad about how hard a level is, and how much time and grind it takes to get there again to practice. I don't think you'd feel that your character gets too powerful after a number of runs. That leads to some people complaining about certain items/weapons, but most are fairly viable depending on your play style and practice. The game's really more about skill, with luck determining the items you find along the way. Each time you start a run, you have no mutations. These are selected between levels, and you can use up to 3 in a run. new mutations, which gives you some passive abilities (faster cooldown, slight health regen, higher damage while near certain things, etc.).

randomized weapons/bows/shields (which means the unlocked weapons are potentially available at the start). the ability to save some money if you die during the run.

Weapons and secondary items, none of which carry over on death, but are available to be found after unlocking. This is permanent - unlock a level 3, and you'll always have a level 3 flask. A healing item upgrading it gives you more healing uses in a level.

Honestly, there isn't a lot of permanent progression here.
